Torch Run is the event that precedes the Games in which the Torch, the Olympic symbol par excellence, represents the message of peace and solidarity of which Special Olympics is carrier. The passage of the Torch Run, celebrated in each of its stages, announces the Games and prepares the communities to welcome and support the Special Olympics athletes.
The path of the Olympic Torch will touch, in consecutive stages, some municipalities of the Province of Rovigo and then reach, on the morning of 6 May 2017, the Opening Ceremony in Rovigo at the Palazzetto dello Sport for the lighting of the tripod.
Ficarolo will host the path of the Olympic Torch on Friday 28 April 2017, with a meeting at 09.30 in the square of the Polesani Institutes. The event is open to everyone.
